One reason is the poor reliability of internet connection. Even a country as big as United States of America has not fully taken advantage of these services. Even sending text can sometimes be delayed and this whole process can really be daunting. Because of poor internet signal, the receiver of the text may not receive the message at all. Another reason why some companies do not cater to mobile payments is because of the expense that they will incur out of it. The infrastructure support or the back end server can really cost a lot. But in due time, all these can be remedied. After all, everybody always gives in to what is more convenient and more efficient these days.
